The latter prevents the fittings from hitting the drum of the washing machine during the washing process, bursting open and rusting more quickly. Always wash outdoor blankets with a detergent for outdoor blankets. This will minimise damage to the lamination of the blanket. Wash the blanket at 30°C on a delicate or gentle cycle.
