Grazing in moderation
Grazing muzzles
Grazing muzzles limit grass intake in the paddock while the horse stays with the herd and can drink freely. They help with overweight horses, laminitis risk and easy keepers.

Fit and safety
The grazing muzzle should fit so that one to two fingers fit between the mouth and the bottom of the basket. Models with a panic release or breakaway point come loose if the horse gets caught.
Sizes
Grazing muzzles are available from Shetland to warmblood sizes; many models can be attached to the headcollar or have an integrated headpiece. To get your horse used to it, only use it for a few hours at a time and keep an eye on your horse.
