LeMieux turnout rugs
LeMieux turnout rugs come in two lines: Arika and Kudos. The Storm-Tek and Kudos rugs use a two-part rug design that is meant to reduce tension at the shoulders and hind legs. Fills range from 0 g for the transitional season to 350 g for cold days, sizes from 95 to 170 cm.
Arika or Kudos: which turnout rug suits your horse?
The Arika Storm-Tek turnout rugs have a breathable, waterproof 1,200 denier outer without a spine seam, an antibacterial, anti-static lining and T-closures whose upper part sits at a 45-degree angle. They are available with 0, 50, 100, 200 and 350 g fill. The Arika Ripstop turnout rugs are lighter and, according to the manufacturer, designed for the transitional season, with 0, 50, 100 or 200 g. The Arika turnout rug made of 450D ripstop with UPF50+ and a detachable neck is made for sunny days. The Kudos turnout rugs are made of waterproof 1680D ballistic fabric and have an angled T-bar front closure, a detachable neck and liner attachments for LeMieux liners; they are available with 50, 100, 200 and 350 g. Choosing size and fill weight
LeMieux gives the size in centimetres; measure your horse before buying and compare the measurement with the size stated for the item. Which fill weight is right depends on the weather, coat and how your horse is kept: rugs with 0 g mainly serve as rain protection, 50 to 100 g are intended for cool days, 200 to 350 g for the cold.
