Samshield: riding helmets and riding wear
Samshield from France is best known for its riding helmets: the Shadowmatt and the Miss Shield with its extra wide peak. At Lepona you will find many ready configured Samshield helmets in stock. Samshield riding helmets
The 2.0 helmets have an outer shell made of polycarbonate with a scratch-resistant finish and an inner shell made of variable-density polystyrene. There are three shell sizes (S, M and L for 52 to 61 cm head circumference), and you set the exact fit with the liner. The liner is sold separately. You will find the helmet with the wide peak and frontal band under Samshield Miss Shield, and all models under Samshield riding helmets. Liners and helmet bags are available under riding helmet accessories.
Stock helmet or configurator
The helmets in the shop are ready configured and can be returned as usual. In the configurator you choose the shell, top, trim and blason yourself, and on the Miss Shield also the frontal band, with up to 300 Swarovski® crystals and up to 19 characters flocked onto the chin strap. These helmets are handmade in France, which takes several weeks, and they cannot be exchanged.
Breeches and show wear
Samshield breeches such as Diane, Clara, Adele or Chloe are made of stretchy technical fabric with UV protection, with full or knee grip and the Samshield crest made of Swarovski® crystals. For men there is the Marceau. For competitions you will find show jackets such as Victorine and Louise, a tailcoat with Crystal Fabric and show shirts such as Jeanne, Faustine or Beatrice.
Riding gloves and accessories
Samshield riding gloves V-Skin are made of ultra-thin perforated synthetic leather and are washable at 30 °C; the Swarovski version has 130 stones. There is also the Shield'Rup safety stirrup, whose side arm opens by up to 180° in a fall and then closes again by itself; more under safety stirrups. Reduced Samshield products are in the Samshield Sale.
Shadowmatt describes the matt finish, which is available in both shapes. The Miss Shield also has an extra wide peak and a frontal band above the forehead. The standard helmet comes without the wide peak.
No, the liner is sold separately. It clips in, is washable at up to 30 °C and, together with the shell size S, M or L, adapts the helmet to your head circumference.
Shell S fits 52 to 56 cm, M 55 to 58 cm and L 57 to 61 cm head circumference. The exact size depends on the liner. If you are between two sizes, our team will be happy to advise you.
Yes, with the Samshield configurator. The helmet is handmade in France, which takes several weeks. Custom-made helmets cannot be exchanged; the stock helmets in the shop can be returned as usual.
The V-Skin gloves are made of ultra-thin perforated synthetic leather with silicone for more grip and are machine washable at 30 °C. The V-Skin Swarovski version has a suede base and 130 Swarovski® stones.
The women's models are made of highly elastic compression fabric and fit tightly like a second skin. Diane, Clara and Astrid have full grip, Adele, Hortense and Chloe PL have knee grip. You will find the sizes on each product page.
