What characterises Bucas horse rugs?
Bucas was founded in 1981 and launched its first horse rugs on the market in 1982. The first models of the well-known waterproof and breathable outdoor rugs followed towards the end of the 80s. Bucas is particularly well known for its silver Power Turnout rugs with the red Stay Dry lining. Barely 10 years later, particularly light, waterproof turnout rugs with antibacterial inner material followed. The Buzz Off fly rug models with UV protection and the well-known zebra pattern followed shortly afterwards. Most recently, Bucas launched a therapy rug called Recuptex, a magnetic field horse rug designed to stimulate muscle healing and regeneration and improve blood circulation.
The inner material of some Bucas horse rugs, such as the Power Turnout, also has an antibacterial effect and thus actively protects against bacteria and fungi. Most rugs also have a Teflon coating, which makes the horse rugs water and dirt repellent. They also need to be washed less frequently. Bucas horse rugs are naturally breathable and are very easy to put on thanks to the patented magnetic fastening at the front. A cross surcingle ensures optimum support even when rolling around.
Which pasture rugs & rain rugs does Bucas offer for horses?
Bucas is known for its good turnout rugs and rain rugs. Bucas describes the Power Turnout line as the best turnout rug in the range because it offers the best possible strength, durability and quality. Protected on the outside by a ballistic nylon that is both breathable and waterproof, the turnout rug also features a heat-reflective aluminium inner coating. The well-known Stay Dry inner lining with antibacterial effect is also part of this rug, as is the magnetic Click'n Go front fastening. The rug is available in a classic cut, big neck and high neck style as well as an additional neck section.
The Bucas Smartex Turnout turnout rug is a slightly slimmed-down version of the Power Turnout. It is not antibacterial, sun or heat reflective, but is also available in pony sizes. If you are looking for a good but inexpensive turnout rug, take a look at the Irish Turnout rug. This is made from a waterproof rip-stop material. The breathable Silk-Feel lining and the shoulder pleats ensure optimum freedom of movement. The Sun Shower rug should also be emphasised, a light rain rug for sunny days with a special mesh lining that ensures optimum air circulation.
Stable rugs from Bucas
In addition to outdoor rugs, Bucas naturally also offers stable rugs. The Celtic Stable rug is a high-performance horse rug with high resistance and quality.
