LeMieux girths

LeMieux girths are available as short girths for dressage and monoflap saddles and as long girths for jumping saddles. The Gel-Tek range is anatomically shaped and has gel pockets at the front edge. There is also the Integrated dressage girth with merino wool lining, a stud guard girth from the Arika line and a Merino+ cover for the Gel-Tek jumping girths.

Gel-Tek, merino and leather: the differences

With the Gel-Tek Anatomic dressage girth and the Gel-Tek Anatomic Mono girth, LeMieux combines dynamic gel with soft leather to distribute pressure evenly across the girth surface. The contoured shape with a cut-back leaves room behind the elbow, and double elastic ends on both sides limit stretch. The Gel-Tek Anatomic stud girth with magnet is available for jumping saddles; it also has gel-filled pockets at the front edge. The Integrated dressage girth is lined with merino wool, suitable for dressage, monoflap and jumping saddles according to the description, and machine washable. The Arika contoured stud guard girth long is made of soft leather and has a D-ring to which you can attach training aids. If your horse is sensitive in the girth area, the Merino+ anatomic jumping girth cover made of 70 % merino and 30 % acrylic fits over the Gel-Tek jumping girths. You can find girths from other brands under Girths.

Finding the girth length and combining it with the saddle pad

LeMieux short girths come in 55 to 75 cm, the Arika stud guard girth in 125 cm. The lengths are shown in the size selection of each item, and for the Integrated dressage girth you can also choose between black and black/natural. If you are unsure, measure the girth that currently fits your horse well from buckle to buckle and use that measurement as a guide. Under the saddle, a saddle pad complements the girth: among the LeMieux saddle pads you will find Dressage Squares and close contact models with reinforced girth protection.
