Climate protection
The equestrian sector is changing and the topics of sustainability, climate and environmental protection are also becoming increasingly relevant in equestrian sport. We want to be as open as possible about the approach and activities behind Lepona.
Dispensing with plastic packaging
It is particularly important to us that our shipping is climate-neutral and virtually plastic-free. That's why your parcels are mainly sent in paper boxes and we try to avoid using additional plastic. If items from manufacturers are already packed in plastic packaging, such as care products or white competition breeches, we continue to use these. At best, this avoids having to buy additional plastic packaging material.
Reuse packages
We also recycle cardboard boxes. So don't be surprised if you receive a box from us and it is labelled as "recycled". If you would like to return your order, please use the box in which the goods arrived so that no additional cardboard packaging is used. You are also welcome to use the Lepona boxes for other consignments. Together we can protect the environment.
If you really no longer need the paper carton, please dispose of it in the paper bin and ideally remove the adhesive tape first. Cardboard boxes can be completely recycled, which avoids additional waste, means that no more trees need to be felled and energy and water can be saved during production.
Collaboration with sustainable brands
We are happy to be able to offer you a wide range of equestrian products from various equestrian brands. We welcome it when manufacturers are aware of their corporate social responsibility and their responsibility towards the environment.
Kingsland does not have its products manufactured in "low-wage countries", such as Vietnam or Bangladesh, as it is almost impossible to carry out proper checks in these countries. The company also endeavours to use only recyclable packaging. If plastic packaging is used, it is made of polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) and labelled with a recycling symbol.
We at Lepona are pleased that manufacturers are aware of sustainability and climate protection and want to focus more on this when we are seeking new collaborations.
Green electricity & green gas
We have also opted for an electricity and gas provider that supplies our warehouse and office in Dortmund with green electricity and green gas. We want to make a small contribution to the sustainable use of resources and the protection of the climate with our green energy supply.
