"Eskadron" is the old term for a squadron, a cavalry unit. The brand was founded in 1977 as a sister company of Pikeur and has since stood for textile horse equipment and boots. Since 1990, Pikeur and Eskadron have belonged to the Brinkmann family's group of companies, today's bugatti Holding Brinkmann from Herford; Pikeur and Eskadron are based in Werther in Westphalia. Closeness to top-level sport runs in the family: Wolfgang Brinkmann won Olympic team gold in show jumping in Seoul in 1988. To this day, Eskadron works closely with riders from competitive sport.

The Eskadron collections
Eskadron releases four limited collections a year: Classic Sports in March, Platinum at the end of June, Dynamic at the end of August and Heritage (autumn/winter 2026/27 – coming soon), plus the year-round Basic Line. You will find release dates, current colours and the best-selling items of each collection in the overview Eskadron collections 2026. Remaining items from past collections are reduced in the Eskadron Sale.
What does Eskadron cost? Prices by product type
Eskadron is premium, but getting started is more affordable than many think. Click on the product type name to go straight to the overview.
Eskadron releases four collections a year: Classic Sports at the beginning of March, Platinum at the end of June, Dynamic at the end of August and Heritage (autumn/winter 2026/27 – coming soon). The Basic Line is available all year round. We list new collections as soon as they are delivered. If you want a particular colour, order early, as the collections are limited and are not reproduced.
Saddle pads come as Pony, Warmblood and Warmblood Extra (for large horses or long saddles). Horse boots run from S to XL, with M fitting most warmbloods. Coolers are measured in centimetres by back length from the withers to the dock. A tip from our reviews: for the Platinum fleece coolers one customer needed a size smaller than usual. If in doubt our customer service can help you choose.
You can wash saddle pads and horse boots in softshell, cotton and fleece at 30 °C on a gentle cycle. Close Velcro fasteners beforehand so they do not catch on other pieces. Do not tumble-dry or iron Glossy, Sparkle and Crystal surfaces. Skip fabric softener; it settles in fleece and mesh. Always follow the care label of the item.
Yes. As soon as a collection is replaced by the next one, we reduce the remaining pieces. You will find all current offers collected in the Eskadron Sale. It is especially worth a look if you want to complete a set.
Yes. Eskadron is widely used in competitive sport; the Classic Sports line is deliberately designed for training and shows. For dressage tests, depending on the federation there are rules on colour and size of the saddle pad and on embellishments that you should check in the relevant competition rules. White and muted colours are on the safe side.
