What's special
When horses that suffer from eczema or sweet itch sweat heavily, this can worsen their condition. Itching can increase and bacteria and fungi can grow, which can lead to further infections and slow the healing process. It is therefore important to know that this sweet itch rug with neck piece is made of a quick-drying material that guarantees your horse will not sweat under the rug.
Material & finish
The fabric is sturdy, breathable and very soft, so this sweet itch rug offers your horse the highest wearing comfort. Thanks to its light colour the rug reflects the sun's rays and does not absorb heat. 900 denier.
Fit & size
The rug impresses with an especially long neck piece that is fastened above the ears, so the horse's neck is also fully protected. The neck piece can be closed with five Velcro fastenings. To protect the belly area this rug also has a belly flap that is closed with 3 straight surcingles. The tail flap is a little longer than usual and has an elastic tail strap. The sweet itch rug with neck piece is available in sizes 125 cm to 165 cm.
Care & cleaning
Machine washable. Most of our products are machine washable at 30 degrees. However, we recommend washing them as rarely as possible and using our gentle wash bags to maintain quality in the long term. We also recommend washing in professional washing machines (with larger capacity) to avoid damage from the drum of an ordinary washing machine. To dry, simply hang outside on a sunny day. Tumble drying is not recommended.
