Description
Soft Contact bits are anatomically shaped. They also have an elegant look thanks to the golden colour of the mouthpiece – and it may even suit your horse's taste!
This double-jointed snaffle is made from solid Cuprigan with stainless steel rings. Cuprigan is an alloy of 89% copper, 7% aluminium, 3% iron and 1% zinc. The oxidation process of the material produces a pleasant smell and taste. The anatomical shape follows the shape of the horse's mouth, allowing gentle and even pressure distribution. The combination of the shape and the unique composition of Cuprigan stimulates chewing and salivation, which can create a pleasant connection with the sensitive horse's mouth. The bit has a soft effect on the mouth. The mouthpiece is 14 mm thick and the bit rings have a diameter of 65 mm.
A snaffle is a bit with loose bit rings. This type of bit is generally well accepted because the mouthpiece sits relatively loosely in the mouth.
In a double-jointed bit the mouthpiece consists of three parts. The middle section of the mouthpiece lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than with a single-jointed mouthpiece. The thicker the middle section, the more pressure is applied to the tongue.
