The Show rug is one of Kentucky's most iconic products. It was developed to provide a simple and comfortable rug at shows. That is why we decided to create a special design for the little ones so that they too can wear the elegant look of the Show rug and attract all eyes. Because the Show rug also serves as a stable rug, you can unload your horse without worrying about changing rugs. Fabrics & materials The competition rug consists of robust 600D polyester with refined yet timeless diamond quilting. This gives the rug its tear resistance and prevents shavings from sticking to it. To prevent pressure on shoulder and withers, our competition rug has a collar of our popular vegan sheepskin. Besides the stylish look the vegan sheepskin also offers incredibly much comfort. When the horse eats, for example, the rug does not cut into the chest. The rug is filled with 160 g fiberfill, which has the same performance as down but does not absorb odour and is 100% vegan. To avoid chafing the rug is lined with our characteristic vegan rabbit fur. This fabric is extra soft and ensures a glossy coat for your horse all by itself. In addition the vegan rabbit fur creates tiny air pockets that trap and hold the horse's body heat so that an additional insulating layer is created. Through the combination of materials a very breathable rug with a very good warmth-to-weight ratio is created. Shape & size The competition rug is anatomically shaped and thanks to the vegan rabbit fur you do not have to worry about the position of the rug as it always moves back into place. To distribute pressure better the fastening at the front closes like a Z and is easily adjustable for the perfect fit. The straps and the tail cord are also adjustable and removable. Thanks to the flexibility of the competition rug it can be used in many ways and combined with other Kentucky rugs. The buckles are made of stainless steel and therefore do not rust. The straps of the competition rug are made of the same material as seat belts and are therefore particularly robust. The brass finish on the buckles and the artificial leather patches make the competition rug look extra chic. Care instructions Besides the chic look it is very important to us to develop easy-care products. That is why the tail cord is covered with a plastic coating and the competition rug is machine washable at 30 degrees. Air-drying guarantees the greatest possible quality assurance.
