Our Half Pad Impact Equalizer absorbs all impacts and distributes them evenly. This relieves not only the horse’s back but also the rider’s back. For this reason the pad is excellent for every discipline. The pad is also suitable for everyday training, as it continuously distributes the pressure on the horse’s back. It becomes easier for the horse’s muscles to engage and relax. This benefits the riding, as the horse can move more freely. In the long term this contributes to a through and contented horse. Impacts caused by the rider are also absorbed, which stabilises the saddle and creates ergonomic benefits for both rider and horse.
How it works
The saddle pad consists of memory foam and 3D spacer. The combination of materials creates a shock-absorbing cushion. The memory foam distributes the pressure evenly and always adapts to the shape of the horse. With its air-permeable properties, the 3D spacer ensures that air reaches the back. With these materials we have created a half pad that is 20 to 30 % lighter than most other pads on the market. The pad is not only lighter than others – you also feel closer to the horse and improve the communication between you and your horse.
What’s inside
Kentucky Horsewear uses a memory foam that is well known from its use in the army and as protective material. We have developed a half pad that protects your horse in the same way. The 3D spacer has a 3D honeycomb structure with a springy effect that has shock-absorbing properties. The material is highly breathable and ensures that the horse’s back does not overheat. This reduces any irritation on the horse’s back. The cut-out at the withers is made of faux leather and offers comfort by relieving the horse’s spine. To keep the half pad in position while riding, the pad is finished with a silicone pattern. The pad has a silicone tread pattern that prevents it from slipping under the saddle.
Care & cleaning
The Half Pad Impact Equalizer is washable at 30 degrees. Remove the memory foam from inside the half pad before washing. Do not tumble dry.
