Description
This pelham with mullen mouth allows targeted and effective aids that act across the full width of the tongue, the poll and the lower jaw. Depending on how it is fitted, the leverage on the poll can be varied as required. This gives you the option to respond individually to your horse.
The bit is often used in combination with pelham converters. When rider and horse are already more advanced, using two pairs of reins is recommended: this allows the leverage to be applied as sensitively as possible. The pelham is used together with a curb chain. When this allows an angle of up to 45° between the shank and the corner of the mouth, it limits the pressure on the poll in a sensible way.
The bit is coated with hard, durable rubber. For your horse's safety it contains a stainless steel core.
