Description
A baby Weymouth is used together with a bradoon, known as a double bridle. This combination is used in the higher dressage classes. The sliding cheek function allows more movement in the bit. If needed, the horse can lift the bit slightly to reduce pressure on the tongue. The Weymouth is a leverage cheekpiece. The longer the shank, the sharper the leverage. The baby sliding Weymouth has short shanks and is therefore milder than the standard sliding Weymouth. A combination of Weymouth and bradoon requires a special double-bridle headpiece or an additional cheekpiece. In addition, this cheekpiece should always be combined with a curb chain to prevent the bit from slipping through. This bit is not suitable for the inexperienced rider.
The Inno Sense Medium Port is made of elastic plastic, slightly harder than the Inno Sense Flexi Soft. The port provides more tongue freedom, i.e. the pressure is not on the tongue but is distributed over the bars. This makes the bit ideal for horses with a sensitive tongue or horses that stick their tongue out. The Inno Sense Medium Port is slightly flexible.
The bits from the Inno Sense collection can be used for all horses, but are particularly suitable for young horses and horses with sensitive mouths. The plastic used is FDA-approved, which means the material is non-toxic and contains no plasticisers. Horses ridden with an Inno Sense mouthpiece follow the hand easily and accept the bit quickly. The Inno Sense Flexi Soft is less suitable for very strong horses.
The bits from Trust equestrian are very Dutch. All bits are designed, developed and handmade in the Netherlands. A team of technical specialists works on production every day. The bits are assembled with the greatest care and made from the best materials. Quality control and standards are correspondingly high. In every design the balance between shape, material and weight is constantly taken into account. Trust bits are slightly curved so they can adapt better to the horse’s mouth. Thanks to this anatomical shape the bit sits better in the mouth and pressure is distributed more evenly. With the wide choice of mouthpieces, cheeks and materials, Trust strives to have a suitable bit for every horse.
