This high-quality, double-jointed full cheek snaffle with loose cheeks is made of solid Cuprigan with stainless steel rings and cheeks. Cuprigan is an alloy of 89% copper, 7% aluminium, 3% iron and 1% zinc. The oxidation process of the material produces a pleasant smell and taste. The anatomic shape follows the form of the horse's mouth, which enables gentle and even pressure distribution. The combination of the shape and the unique composition of Cuprigan encourages the chewing process and salivation, which can create a pleasant connection with the sensitive horse's mouth. The bit has a normal action on the mouth. The mouthpiece is 14 mm thick and the cheeks have a length of 127 mm.?
A full cheek snaffle can be used with cheek straps. They keep the bit in the right place and have a slight leverage effect. Through the cheeks the rider cannot pull the bit through the mouth and the horse remains well steerable. This also makes the bit suitable for young horses.?
