Description
Targeted and flexible lunging girth - enables ground and lunging work in a wide range of applications and requirements.
Depending on a horse's age and state of training, its chest and shoulders are still significantly narrower than the area of the ribcage behind it due to its development. Consequently, this can lead to a conventional lunging girth slipping/tilting when lunged as soon as the horse exerts some forward pull on the girth.
This slippage can increase the further away the attachment rings of the lunging girth are from the support of the girth on the horse. The thicker the padding, the greater the distance. This can mean that conventional lunging girths have to be tightened when young horses are getting used to being tied out, otherwise they will slip/tilt. Straps that slip forwards and are unsteady often cause chafing and discomfort for the horse. A girth that is pulled too tight is not a solution!
The FLEX FIT lunging girth therefore deliberately dispenses with thick padding and is instead equipped with sturdy, wide and extra-flat felt pads. The special stainless steel withers bar, with side parts that can be individually adjusted in angle, ensures optimum adaptation to the horse's respective ribcage, for ideal support and pressure distribution while at the same time safely relieving the withers and spinous processes - without thick padding and regardless of how pronounced the respective withers are.
