PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description:
This double-jointed snaffle is characterised by the mouthpiece that consists of cherry rollers with a coating of sweet iron. The movable cherry rollers encourage your horse to grip the rollers and play with them. This not only ensures relaxation but also natural saliva production and good acceptance of the bit. In addition the movable rollers make it harder for the horse to lean on the bit.
Product features:
The Sweet Iron bits consist of blue steel and, through contact with saliva, give off a sweet-tasting surface rust. This sweet taste stimulates the natural production of saliva, which means the horse foams more and accepts the bit better.
The anatomical design follows the shape of the horse's mouth and creates a soft and even pressure distribution. With a double-jointed bit the mouthpiece consists of three parts. The middle part of the mouthpiece lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than with a single-jointed mouthpiece. The stronger the centre piece, the more pressure is exerted on the tongue.
A snaffle is a bit with loose bit rings that can move freely. This type of bit is generally well accepted because the mouthpiece lies relatively loosely in the mouth.
Maintenance:
If a Sweet Iron bit is not used for a while, an orange-brown rust layer can form on the mouthpiece. This can easily be removed by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.
