Description
Compared with straight bars, bars with tongue relief relieve the centre of the tongue and only load it when the rein is taken up more strongly. These bits are generally suitable for horses that go against the hand, have especially fleshy tongues or for correcting tongue problems in horses that find pressure on the tongue unpleasant and evade it by raising or sticking out the tongue.
