Sprenger bits
No other bit brand is bought as often as Sprenger. There is a reason for this, because Sprenger has been setting standards in the manufacture of bits since 1872 and is a pioneer in the development of new types of bits.

About Sprenger bits
Sprenger has been producing high-quality bits by hand in its production halls in Iserlohn for over 150 years. Sprenger is one of the few manufacturers in the equestrian sector that has the manufacturing process of its own products under its own control from start to finish.
The high quality of Sprenger bits cannot be denied, which is why the majority of riders favour this brand. There is also a long-standing expertise partnership between the DOKR Federal Training Centre in Warendorf and Sprenger. It is therefore not surprising that many top athletes such as Ingrid Klimke, Klaus Balkenhol, Charlotte Dujardin and Carl Hester, Helen Langehahnenberg and Marus Ehning rely on Sprenger products.
The different bit models from Sprenger
Sprenger Dynamic RS
Dynamic RS bits are a further development of the KK Ultra bits. They are shaped in such a way that they lie anatomically correctly in the horse's mouth and do not exert any pressure on sensitive areas of the mouth. The centrepiece / joint is inclined forwards by 45°, which distributes the pressure exerted by the reins evenly on both sides of the tongue.
Sprenger KK Ultra
KK Ultra bits have an anatomically adapted mouthpiece with an optimum 45° angle of the centrepiece. It is mouth and tongue friendly and the forerunner of modern bits.
Sprenger WH Ultra
WH Ultra bits are characterised by an ergonomic shape and a movable part in the centrepiece. The pleasant stimulation of the tongue's sense of touch encourages the horse to chew.
Sprenger Turnado
The centrepiece of the Turnado bit is inclined forwards by 45°, which enables an even effect on both halves of the tongue. You can recognise the rotation by the roughened surface in the middle section, which slowly disappears after some time in use. The Turnado bit is ideal for horses with tongue problems.
Sprenger Pronamic
Pronamic bits are anatomically shaped, single jointed and have a slightly flared tongue. They are suitable for horses with correctly completed basic training.
Sprenger Satinox
The Sprenger Satinox bits are characterised by particularly good workmanship and the tested quality of the materials. The satinised area ensures a pleasant feeling on the tongue. The anatomical shape leaves plenty of room for the tongue and also ensures even pressure distribution and a direct, precise action.
Sprenger Novocontact
Novocontact bits are unique in their shape. They offer a wide contact surface, which rotates to a narrower surface with slightly stronger rein pressure, thus enabling short-term, targeted aids.
Sprenger Max Control
Max Control bits become a bar when the reins are taken more strongly, which makes them the ideal correction or training bit for very strong horses. When the intense pressure on the bit decreases, it becomes a double jointed working bit again.
Aurigan further developed
Sprenger Sensogan
Sprenger selects only high-quality raw materials for the production of bits. All suppliers are obliged to attach a test certificate and a material analysis to each delivery in order to maintain consistently excellent quality.
The Sensogan bit material is a further development of the Aurigan material mix. The special alloy consists of a balanced mixture of copper, manganese and zinc. This special mix stimulates the horse's chewing activity and is very well tolerated by the horse's very sensitive mouth. Sensogan was developed in co-operation with the Hanover Medical School and the German Riding School in Warendorf and has been toxicologically tested.
The manganese contained in Sensogan is an important trace element, which is not only important for the development of connective tissue, but also for muscle and energy metabolism. It can also have a positive effect on stress reduction and breaks down histamine, which contributes to an even greater tolerance of the material. In addition, the new alloy makes the bit even easier to care for, it tarnishes less than Aurigan and retains its white-golden lustre for longer.
In addition to Sensogan and the slowly being phased out Aurigan material, Sprenger offers bits made from other materials that also meet the company's extremely high quality standards.
