Velvet, Pearls or Classic
Kentucky saddle pads
You can recognise Kentucky saddle pads by their quilting, the Velvet fabric and details such as pearls, glitter cords or the 3D logo. They come in dressage and jumping cuts and in pony, cob and full sizes. Most models have no saddle loops, just a nylon strap for the girth. The Kentucky logo sits a little higher to leave room for your own embroidery.

You will find more Kentucky products under Kentucky Horsewear, for example Kentucky cooler rugs and Kentucky horse boots. Saddle pads from other brands are under saddle pads, reduced Kentucky products in the Kentucky Sale.
Kentucky saddle pads come in pony, cob and full size. What matters is the size of your saddle. The saddle pad should extend a little beyond the saddle all the way round.
The dressage saddle pad is longer and cut straighter to match the long saddle flap of a dressage saddle. The jumping saddle pad is shorter and cut further forward at the front to match the forward-cut jumping saddle. Some models such as Absorb and Jumping are also suitable for eventing.
Most Kentucky saddle pads are machine washable at 30 degrees. Kentucky recommends washing them as rarely as possible, in a laundry bag, and letting them air dry, not in the tumble dryer.
On many models the Kentucky logo deliberately sits a little higher to leave room for your own logo or your horse's name, for example on Velvet, Pied-de-Poule, Plaited 3D Logo and Skin Friendly.
The Fishbone Turnier and the Diamond Turnier have removable faux leather patches to which you attach the competition number. The Fishbone Turnier comes with three sets of numbers.
No. The lining of the Skin Friendly and the Hunter is faux sheepskin, and the logos are made of vegan leather or faux leather. According to the manufacturer, the Skin Friendly Velvet is made entirely of vegan materials.
