Kentucky Dogwear: dog coats and accessories
Kentucky Dogwear is the dog range from Kentucky Horsewear. The brand is best known for its dog coats, plus harnesses, collars, a dog bed and poop bag holders in the typical Kentucky design. The coats come in many sizes from XXXS to XXXL and in a dedicated size for dachshunds.
Kentucky dog coat: which one fits?
- Dog coat Original: the first Kentucky Dogwear product. 160 g filling, faux rabbit fur lining, 1000D polyester outer fabric, small faux sheepskin hood at the neck, hook-and-loop fastenings at chest and belly.
- Dog coat Waterproof 160 g and 300 g: waterproof polyester with a 10,000 mm water column and breathable membrane, faux rabbit fur lining. Piping and logo are reflective in the dark. The 300 g coat is the warmer choice for dogs that get cold quickly.
- Winter Pina: quilted coat made of PU-coated polyester with padding, available in a particularly wide range of sizes.
- Rain jacket: light and breathable, with a fluorine-free waterproof coating, for dogs that need rain protection but no warm layer.
- Towel: microfibre coat that dries your dog after a bath or a wet walk.
- Jumper Teddy Fleece: soft fleece jumper with an opening for the lead, washable at 30 °C.
Harnesses and collars
The Active harness is available with velvet padding or in a reflective version. It closes with two clips, so your dog does not have to lift a leg. The Body Safe harness has a soft surface with a wool look. The collars range from Velvet and handmade Pearls in vegan leather to Jacquard and Corduroy and Soft Rubber, which is waterproof and easy to clean. Many collars have a tag with the Kentucky paw logo, which can be engraved on the back with your dog's name.
Be seen in the dark
For the dark season there is the Reflective collar and the reflective Active harness. The waterproof coats also have reflective piping. The dog coat Waterproof 300 g has the thickest filling. It is waterproof, has a breathable membrane and a faux rabbit fur lining. The Waterproof 160 g and the Original with 160 g filling are slightly lighter.
The Waterproof 160 g and 300 g coats have an outer material with a 10,000 mm water column and a breathable membrane. The rain jacket has a fluorine-free, waterproof coating. The Original is made of robust 1000D polyester.
The coats are available from XXXS to XXXL and in a dedicated size for dachshunds. Measure the back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail and compare it with the size chart on the product page.
The coats have faux rabbit fur linings and faux sheepskin collars. The Pearls and Vegan Leather collars are made of vegan leather, and the Wool collar only has a wool look without any animal material.
Follow the care label in the coat. The Jumper Teddy Fleece and collars such as Jacquard, Wool and Lizard are washable at 30 °C; clean the Pearls collar only with a damp cloth.
