BR riding helmets at a glance

BR is a Dutch equestrian brand. With us you will find these helmet ranges:

  • Thèta and Thèta Plus: light ABS shell, Cooldry lining and a dial for fine adjustment. The Plus models have a glitter or metallic look.
  • Omega: large peak, glitter top, Cooldry lining and a dial for the fit.
  • Zeta: ABS shell with a glitter, metallic or carbon look and a Cooldry chin pad.
  • Lambda and Lambda Plus: glitter top with ventilation openings, the Plus models with a large peak.
  • Sigma: microfibre cover, twelve ventilation openings and three liner sizes included.
  • Delta: microfibre cover with glitter band and dial, available from us in the small size XS-S (49 to 51 cm).
  • Cross Country: eventing helmet that is worn with a cover. The shell has an anti-slip coating so that the cover stays in place.

Size and fit

BR usually states the size as a range of head circumference, for example 52/54, 55/57 or 58/60 cm. Our sizes range from 49 to 61 cm. Measure your head circumference about one centimetre above your eyebrows and choose the range your measurement falls into. With Thèta, Omega, Delta and some Zeta models you can also adjust the fit with a dial. The helmet should sit firmly without pressing.

Helmet liner, accessories and care

On most models the Cooldry lining is removable and, according to the manufacturer, washable at 40 °C. According to the description, Zeta Sparkling, Zeta Sport and the cross-country helmet are supplied without a liner. For these, order the matching BR helmet liner in your size. Replacement liners are also available for Lambda and Thèta, and for Omega in size 52/54. For cold days there are ear warmers for Lambda and for Omega, Thèta and Zeta, and for transport the BR helmet bag. Measure your head circumference with a tape measure about one centimetre above your eyebrows. BR states sizes as a range, for example 55/57 cm. Choose the range your measurement falls into. On models with a dial such as Thèta, Omega and Delta, you then fine-tune the fit.

Most models do. According to the product description, Zeta Sparkling, Zeta Sport and the cross-country helmet are supplied without a liner; for these, order the matching BR helmet liner in your size. The Sigma comes with three liner sizes.

The helmet liners are named after the model range: they are available for Omega (only in 52/54), Lambda, Thèta, Zeta and Cross Country. According to the description, the Zeta liner is intended for the models with item numbers 541052 (Zeta Sparkling) and 541053 (Zeta Sport). Choose the liner to match the model and your head circumference.

On most models the Cooldry lining is removable and, according to the manufacturer, machine washable at 40 °C. According to the description, on some Thèta Plus and Omega models the peak has a protective cover so that the helmet can be stored safely. For transport there is the BR helmet bag.

According to the product description, Thèta, Thèta Plus, Zeta, Cross Country, Lambda Glitter, Lambda Plus Painted in black/gunmetal and Omega Painted Glitter meet the EN 1384:2023 standard. For Sigma, Delta and Omega Microfibre Glitter, CE VG1 01.040 2014-12 is stated. The information on the product page of the respective model is decisive.

According to the manufacturer, it is intended for cross-country jumping in eventing and is worn with a cover. The shell has an anti-slip coating so that the cover stays in place. Order the liner separately as the Cross Country helmet liner.
