Description
The TURNADO bits represent a new generation of snaffle bits. The bit cheeks of conventional single-jointed bits are of different lengths for manufacturing reasons, which always exerts somewhat more pressure on one side. You avoid this problem of uneven pressure distribution by using a TURNADO bit. The joint in the centre of these bits has been angled 45° forward to ensure even pressure distribution and avoid palate pressure.
The twist is marked by a lightly roughened surface (sandblasting) of the mouthpiece in the middle area of the bit.
