This high-quality, double-jointed bradoon (snaffle) is made of solid Cuprigan with stainless steel rings. Cuprigan is an alloy of 89% copper, 7% aluminium, 3% iron and 1% zinc. The oxidation process of the material produces a pleasant smell and taste. The anatomical shape follows the shape of the horse's mouth, enabling gentle and even pressure distribution. The combination of the shape and the unique composition of Cuprigan stimulates the chewing process and saliva production, which can create a pleasant connection with the sensitive horse's mouth. The bit has a normal action on the mouth. The mouthpiece is 12 mm thick and the bit rings have a diameter of 50 mm.?
The bradoon is used in combination with a dressage curb. Thanks to the small rings there is more room for the dressage curb. It is recommended to choose a bradoon that is about 0.5 to 1 cm larger than the curb.?
With a double-jointed bit the mouthpiece consists of three parts. The middle part of the mouthpiece lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than with a single-jointed mouthpiece. The thicker the centre piece, the more pressure is applied to the tongue.?
