Description
This high-quality, double-jointed bradoon (snaffle) is made of solid Cuprigan with stainless steel rings. Cuprigan is an alloy of 89% copper, 7% aluminium, 3% iron and 1% zinc. The oxidation process of the material produces a pleasant smell and taste. The anatomical shape follows the shape of the horse's mouth, enabling gentle and even pressure distribution. The combination of the shape and the unique composition of Cuprigan stimulates the chewing process and saliva production, so that a pleasant connection with the sensitive horse's mouth can arise. The bit has a normal action on the mouth. The mouthpiece is 10 mm thick and the bit rings have a diameter of 50 mm.?
The bradoon is used in combination with a dressage Weymouth. Through the small rings more room remains for the dressage Weymouth. It is advisable to choose a bradoon that is approx. 0.5 to 1 cm larger than the Weymouth.?
With a double-jointed bit the mouthpiece consists of three parts. The middle part of the mouthpiece lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than with a single-jointed mouthpiece. The thicker the centre piece, the more pressure is exerted on the tongue.?
