Description
This high-quality double-jointed Baucher snaffle with upward-pointing legs with ring and leverage is made from solid Cuprigan with stainless steel rings. Cuprigan is an alloy of 89% copper, 7% aluminium, 3% iron and 1% zinc. The oxidation process of the material produces a pleasant smell and taste. The anatomical shape follows the shape of the horse's mouth, allowing gentle and even pressure distribution. The combination of the shape and the unique composition of Cuprigan stimulates chewing and salivation, which can create a pleasant connection with the sensitive horse's mouth. The upward-pointing legs with ring stand slightly outwards, which ensures optimal freedom for the horse's head. The mouthpiece is 14 mm thick and the legs have a length of 110 mm.
A Baucher snaffle has upward-pointing legs with a ring for attaching the cheekpieces. Unlike other snaffles, this bit has slight leverage and exerts pressure behind the ears. The bit is well suited to sensitive horses.
In a double-jointed bit the mouthpiece consists of three parts. The middle section of the mouthpiece lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than with a single-jointed mouthpiece. The thicker the middle section, the more pressure is applied to the tongue.
