Description
Pelham "Ergonomic"
The "Ergonomic" bit range is anatomically adapted to the horse's mouth and becomes slightly narrower towards the inside. The advantage is a more comfortable pressure distribution.
Sweet Iron is a material that takes on a slightly sweet taste as soon as the mouthpiece comes into contact with saliva. The surface starts to rust slightly, which also encourages the horse to foam more and accept the bit better. On the double-jointed mouthpieces we use copper inserts that have a sweeter taste from the start.
The Pelham has long shanks and is supplied with a curb chain. A Pelham is mostly used for showjumping or eventing.
Thickness: 14 mm
Shanks: 7.5 cm
Size: 125, 135, 145 mm single jointed
Weight: 0.4 kg
Sweet Iron mouthpieces can show signs of wear more quickly than stainless steel bits, because Sweet Iron is a surface coating that is clearly softer than other types of metal.
