Vegan, sustainable and unique - "Cortica" ankle boot made of cork|newline||newline|Products made of cork have long been a sustainable alternative to leather outside of equestrian sports. However, they have not been widely used in equestrian sports. We want to change this from now on. We are now one of the few equestrian companies to offer vegan riding accessories made from cork. We want to leave a sustainable footprint and offer vegan horse lovers a great alternative to leather. The products have been developed and thoroughly tested for almost two years and have been changed and adapted time and again. The result is our sustainable and vegan "Cortica" collection, consisting of bridle, reins, browbands, breastplate, chaps, ankle boots and spur straps.|newline||newline|The vegan, water-repellent ankle boots are an absolute eye-catcher on the foot thanks to the special material and the narrow beige decorative strip. The specially developed lasts offer maximum comfort. The ankle boots have a narrow cut and a relatively low instep, which ensures that even narrow feet have a secure hold in the ankle boots. The high-quality insole ensures optimum pressure distribution in the footbed and is also breathable for a comfortable fit. The shoe's robust non-slip rubber sole is very flexible and enables anatomical rolling, which is gentle on the joints. |The cork ankle boot has a curved side zip. This moulds comfortably to the ankle. The cork oak can live for over 300 years and is peeled by hand approximately every 12 years during its lifetime. This makes the tree more resilient and ensures long-lasting cork oak forests, which protect against soil erosion and bind many times the amount of CO2 compared to other trees. A large proportion of cork oaks grow in Portugal, where they represent a very important ecosystem for many rare animals.|newline||newline|Durable & unique|newline|Cork fabric, also known as cork leather, is very tear-resistant and hard-wearing and is also water-repellent. The cork sheets of the bark are bonded together with an organic adhesive to form larger sheets and cut thinly. They are then put together like a puzzle and attached to a fabric carrier material, sealed and can then be further processed as cork fabric.
