The thigh bridle has long bars with a fixed ring to attach the rein. This shape puts more pressure on the horse's cheeks. This makes it easier for a horse to turn and the bit cannot be pulled through the mouth as easily. In addition, the bit is calm and stable in the mouth. The thigh bridle is an ideal bit for young or very hot horses that do not understand position and bending very well. The straight parts of the side piece are bent slightly outwards so that they cannot come into contact with the side of the horse's head. It is important that the bit is in the mouth so that the bars point outwards so that they cannot cause wounds.

The Locked
The mouthpiece is similar to a simply broken mouthpiece, but it cannot bend as much as a simply broken bit. When pressure is applied to the reins, the bit locks into a straight bar, making it a sharper bit. If less pressure is applied to the reins, the bit changes back to a simply broken bit. This makes it an ideal bit for horses that press against the hand.
