Mouthpieces for bridles from Trust are anatomically shaped. Due to this anatomical shape, the bit fits better in the horse's mouth. In addition, the pressure is better distributed due to the curved shape. Thanks to the huge selection of three materials, 20 mouthpieces and 31 side parts, the right bit can be found for every horse. The Sweet iron bits are recognizable by their blue color. The mouthpieces made of steel oxidize on contact with (air) moisture and develop a thin layer of surface rust. This tastes sweet and naturally increases the production of saliva. The blue color disappears after a short time and the bit becomes silver-grey to brown due to oxidation. If you are not using the bit, the Sweet Iron bit may form a thin brown-orange layer of rust, which can easily be wiped off with a damp cloth. Simply broken Sweet Iron bits
The simply broken dentition of Trust puts less pressure on the tongue than a double jointed bit. This is due to the single hinge point connecting the two legs. Pressure is mainly exerted on the bars and sides of the tongue and the horse has the opportunity to relieve this pressure by pressing the tongue against the bit.
Trust Sweet Iron double-jointed bits
The double-jointed bit has two hinges in the middle of the thighs and thus encloses the tongue. Pressure is applied to the bars, tongue and corners of the mouth. This form of bit puts more pressure on the tongue than a single jointed bit and the horse cannot counteract this pressure. On the other hand, it lies quieter and more stable in the horse's mouth than a simply broken bit.
Locked dentition from Trust
This bit is ideal as a corrective bit for horses that push against the hand. The locked (locked) mouthpiece looks like a simply broken bit at first glance, but cannot bend as much. It becomes a bar when more pressure is applied to the bit. This makes it a sharper bit. If the pressure is released again, the bit changes back to a simply broken mouthpiece.
Trust Cherry Roller bits
Trust offers a special bit for horses who have trouble concentrating or who hold the bit tight. The Cherry Roller bit has small rollers on the shanks that stimulate tongue activity. More saliva is produced, the horse chews more and the jaws relax.
Sweet iron bit with brass rings
This bit is a modification of the double jointed bit with small brass rings in the middle of the joint. These rings encourage the horse to play with the bit. This increases tongue activity, the horse salivates more and the jaws can relax.
Trust French link bit
The French Link bit is also a double-jointed bit, which has an eight-shaped plate in the middle instead of the olive. The plate applies even pressure to the tongue and is shaped more towards the mouth. Due to the two hinge points, it lies a little more loosely in the horse's mouth.
Sweet Iron Dr. Bristol bit

The Waterford bit is characterized by a series of rounded links and is therefore very flexible. The bit creates an even pressure that the horse cannot avoid. In addition, the horse cannot lie down on the bit and the rider retains control. This bit also appears soft in soft hands, but is sharp in hard hands. So you should already be able to ride independently if you want to use this bit.
Trust Wideport Segundo bit
At first glance, the Wideport Segundo bit looks like a straight bit. However, it is a double-jointed bit with a lot of tongue freedom. The mouthpiece is free to move, giving some lateral flexibility. The pressure on the tongue is lower due to the freedom of the tongue, but this is almost completely distributed over the bars. Due to the special shape, the bit has sharper corners on the inside, which create pressure points on the side of the tongue. This bit is designed to prevent the horse from lying down on the bit.
In addition to the broken bits, the Dutch company also offers Sweet Iron bits. From a slight arching, as with the arched bit, to the small tongue freedom to the medium tongue freedom.
