In many stables it is still said: mane brushes are evil and the tail may only be read. But what does reading out the tail actually mean? You hold the tail in one hand and only pull out a few tail hairs at a time. This way you can detangle the tail without pulling out too much hair. This process takes a long time, but creates a nice volume. Detangling the tail with a mane and tail brush is of course much faster. But a lot of hair falls victim to the brush. Therefore, you should always use a care spray before brushing. This ensures that the tail brush glides more easily through the hair and at the same time supplies the hair with care substances.
If you are often on the road to a tournament, a braiding comb and a warping knife should not be missing in your cleaning case. A mane that is too thick is difficult to twist into neat rosettes, so you should first thin out the mane a little with a shearing knife. A braided comb will then help you divide the mane into even pieces. Finally, you can spray the mane comb on both sides with a mane and tail spray to remove dust. By the way you find suitable accessories for weaving in our tournament equipment category.
