The SmartProtection fly rug is an innovative and technical fly rug. The rug has been treated with Repel Mosquito to keep insects away. This is the safest and most effective protection against insects. The special design ensures an optimal fit, additional comfort and maximum freedom of movement. The fly rug consists of 320 GSM polyester fabric and is sun-reflecting. This mesh fabric is extra strong.
The rug is equipped with chest and running slits, belly flap and elastic leg cords. Made with a long neck that runs through to the head with openings for the ears. The front fastenings are on the side of the rug so that they cannot irritate the centre of the chest and neck. The elastic at the front and at the withers ensures an optimal fit. The elastic at the front also ensures that no pressure can come onto the horse's oesophagus. The special girth fastenings in PresTeq shape offer additional comfort through a convenient twist-and-click fastening. The rug is lined with nylon at the mane, front forelock, shoulders and tail (flap) to avoid rubbing. The tail flap is extra wide for optimal protection and is fitted with an anatomical ShapedTEQ. This means the tail flap has been cut further back to increase the freedom of movement of the hindquarters.
