An innovative design based on extensive research into the anatomy of the horse's leg and manufactured with a unique mould developed by BR. The result is an indispensable tendon protector that optimally protects, absorbs shocks and keeps the horse's leg as cool as possible.

The CLX XO2 boot was developed according to the form-follows-function principle and offers your horse perfect protection without compromising on comfort. The protector connects seamlessly with the horse's leg and covers the horse's leg only where it is needed. The shell is subtly thickened on the back and sides of the cannon so the horse's leg is optimally protected at these important points.
Outer:
What is unique about the shell is that it is anatomically adapted to the horse's leg. This allows the protector to connect seamlessly with the leg. The unique shape of the shell offers protection where needed but also ensures that the protector is lighter than other protectors, by up to 10%! The horse also retains unimpeded freedom of movement, so your horse never feels that the protectors are in the way!
The shell is strong for optimum protection, but at the same time extremely flexible so the shell moulds nicely around the horse's leg. The cleverly placed ventilation holes ensure the tendon stays cool.
Lining:
The protector is lined with our specially developed Air Liner, a thermo-formed lining. The composition of the material gives the lining optimum properties. The lining offers an additional shock-absorbing effect through the air that collects in the spaces created by the composition of the material. During the shock/impact the air squeezes out through the extremely breathable lining and the ventilation holes. This way your horse is optimally protected from impacts.
Closures:
The right closures are also extremely important. If the protector is too loose, this can lead to rubbing, but if the protector is too tight, it can impede blood flow. The straps of the closures are slightly elastic and fitted with hook-and-eye closures so the tendon boot can always be fastened in the right place. They adapt to the curve of the shell and ensure a streamlined whole and a good fit."""
