- small rings integrated in the snaffle ring allow a total of three different buckling options, which can be used individually depending on the level of training:
- if the cheek piece is buckled in the small ring at the top and the reins in the large main ring, the effect is comparable to that of a conventional water snaffle
- if the cheekpiece is buckled at the top in the small ring and the reins at the bottom in the small ring, additional light pressure is exerted on the poll when the reins are tightened
- if the cheekpiece is buckled in the main ring and the reins are buckled in the small ring at the bottom, light pressure is exerted on the lower jaw and tongue
- due to the shorter leverage compared to a 3-ring snaffle, the pressure exerted on the poll is also lower, making it ideal for horses that occasionally require a little more pressure
