What it does
The Half Pad correction Impact is used to improve the fit and balance of the saddle. This pad is perfect for younger horses or horses whose body shape changes a lot, as you can constantly correct the position of the saddle on the horse's back. The Halfpad has a shock-absorbing function to filter out irregularities when riding. This results in a better riding experience for horse and rider. As the saddle fits better and shocks are absorbed, the horse's muscles feel relieved and can move more freely. The rider will feel a more stable saddle that offers many ergonomic benefits.
How it works
Thanks to the 6 felt inserts, you can fully customise the Hald Pad to the needs of the horse's back. This ensures that the saddle fits better and benefits the horse's back in the long term. To absorb shocks, we not only use layers of felt, but have also equipped the pad with shock-absorbing memory foam and our 3D Spacer material. The 3D spacer has a shock-absorbing gel that absorbs all shocks while riding. By using these materials, we have created a correction pad that is 20-30% lighter than most other pads on the market. Not only is the pad lighter than others, but it also improves communication between you and your horse as the saddle fits better and you still have close contact.
What's inside
The correction pad has 3 pockets on each side, which are filled with 3 layers of felt of different thicknesses (2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm). The layers can be used in combination or separately, depending on the correction you need in a range of 2 to 9 mm. To minimise saddle pressure and maximise shock absorption, the Half Pad is equipped with an 18 mm memory foam. This memory foam is known as protection in the army and for extreme sports. This ensures the best protection for your horse's back. Thanks to the cushioning effect of the 3D spacer, the correction pad is highly breathable and air-permeable and prevents the horse's back from heating up.
The cut at the withers is made of synthetic leather and offers comfort as the horse's spine is under less pressure. To ensure the position of the half pad when riding, the pad is provided with a silicone pattern.
Care instructions for the Half Pad Correction Impact
Remove the felt layers on the inside of the Half Pad. It is now machine washable at 30 degrees. Allow the Half Pad to air dry afterwards. For optimum results, we recommend calling a saddler, osteopath or vet to adjust the felt layers to the correct thickness.
