The TURNADO bits represent a new generation of water snaffles. The joint has been tilted forwards by 45° to ensure even pressure distribution and avoid pressure on the palate. The bit shanks of conventional single jointed bits are manufactured to different lengths, which means that more pressure is always exerted on one side. You can avoid this problem of uneven pressure distribution by using a TURNADO bit. This is also suitable for horses with slight tongue problems. The twist is characterised by a slightly roughened surface (sandblasting) of the mouthpiece in the middle area of the bit. The fixed side parts of this bit allow the rein aid to be transferred directly to the tongue and lower jaw of the horse. They also protect the sensitive corners of the mouth and frame the horse slightly at the sides. The bit lies particularly quietly in the mouth.
