The TURNADO bits represent a new generation of water snaffles. The bit shanks of conventional single jointed bits have different lengths due to the manufacturing process, which means that more pressure is always exerted on one side. You can avoid this problem of uneven pressure distribution by using a TURNADO bit. The joint in the centre of these bits has been tilted forwards by 45° to ensure even pressure distribution and avoid palatal pressure.
