What makes it special?
With the Kentucky horse chest protector, you no longer have to worry about chafing on the shoulders or withers. The chest protector compensates for the pressure that a rug exerts on the horse's chest or withers. The pad can be used in combination with all types of rugs. And now you can also use the chest protector in the rain.
Fabrics & materials
The outer material of the chest protector is made of 100% peached polyester and has a waterproof coating. The part that is in direct contact with the horse's skin is lined with artificial rabbit fur. This extra soft material is very comfortable to wear.
Shape & size
It is a pad with two flaps that you place over the front of the rug where the front fastenings are located. One flap is on the inside of the rug, directly on the horse's chest. The other then hangs on the outside of the rug to hold the chest protector in place. Both sides have notches to ensure that the chest protector stays in place.
Care instructions
The Horse Breastplate Waterproof is washable at 30 degrees. Allow it to dry naturally. After you have washed the chest protector more than 5 times, we recommend that you use a fluorocarbon treatment.
