Welches Trensenmodell passt zu mir und meinem Pferd?
Die Auswahl an verschiedenen Trensenmodellen ist groß. Nicht nur Farbe und Design lässt sich auswählen, auch die Zäumung an sich bietet einige Möglichkeiten:
Hanoverian snaffle:
- Noseband lies low on the horse's nose below the bit
- was developed for horses that want to avoid rein aids by pushing the lower jaw sideways
- Noseband is also a locking strap
English combined snaffle:
- Combination of English and Hanoverian noseband
- Noseband is two fingers wide under the cheekbone
- Locking strap lies under the bit
- most common snaffle model
Swedish combined snaffle:
- similar to the English combined snaffle
- Noseband often better padded
- has a pulley on the noseband
Mexican noseband:
- allows plenty of breathing room
- Leather straps crossed on the noseband
- often used in show jumping
Anatomical snaffles:
- sensitive areas on the horse's head (nerve tracts, bones) are left out
- Headpieces with plenty of ear clearance
- must be adjusted very precisely
Bitless snaffles:
- e.g. sidepull, hackamore
- Only influence the nasal bone and poll
- Possibility of self-control: Are you riding with weight and leg aids independently of the reins? Does your horse respond to these aids at all? Does it bend correctly and move correctly over its back?
- No bridle for cross-country, as insurance companies are often not liable for accidents
Was sind Reithalfter?
Reithalfter sind ein Teil der Trense. Reithalfter umfassen den Nasenriemen, wenn vorhanden den Sperriemen und die beiden Backenstücke zum Befestigen am Genickstück.
