For almost 150 years, the production halls in Iserlohn have been used by Sprenger high-quality handcrafted bits. Sprenger is one of the few manufacturers in the field of equestrian sports who have the manufacturing process of their own products in their hands from start to finish. The high quality of Sprenger When bitten, there is no denying why the majority of riders use this brand. In addition, there is a long-standing competence partnership between the DOKR federal base in Warendorf and Sprenger. It is therefore not surprising that many top athletes such as Ingrid Klimke, Klaus Balkenhol, Charlotte Dujardin and Carl Hester, Helen Langehahnenberg or Marus Ehning rely on the products from Sprenger vertrauen.
Sprenger DynamicRS
Dynamic RS bits are a further development of the KK Ultra bits. They are shaped in such a way that they lie anatomically correctly in the horse's mouth and do not put any pressure on sensitive areas of the mouth. The center piece / joint is tilted forward by 45°, which distributes the pressure triggered by the rein holder evenly on both sides of the tongue.
Sprenger Novocontact
Novocontact bits are unique in their shape. They offer a wide contact surface, which turns to a narrower surface when the reins are pressed a little harder, thus enabling short-term, targeted aids. This bit is particularly suitable for sensitive horses, as the effect can be soft but targeted.
Sprenger KK Ultra
KK Ultra bits have an anatomically adapted mouthpiece with an optimal 45° angle of the middle piece. It is mouth and tongue friendly and the pioneer of modern bits.
Sprenger turnado
Unlike conventional bits, Turnado bits enable an even distribution of pressure on both halves of the tongue. It is ideal for horses with tongue problems.
Sprenger WHUltra
WH Ultra bits are characterized by an ergonomic shape and a movable part in the middle piece. The pleasant stimulation of the tactile sense of the tongue encourages the horse to chew.
Sprenger Max Control
Max Control bits become a bar when the pressure is greatly increased, which makes them the ideal correction or training bit for very strong horses.
Sprenger Pronamic by Bredow-Werndl
Pronamic bits are anatomically shaped, simply broken and have a slightly forward tongue. They are suitable for horses that have correctly completed basic training.
Sprenger satinox
The Satinox bits are particularly well made and offer tested material quality. The satin area is particularly comfortable on the tongue.
For Sprenger selects only high-quality raw materials in the production of bits. All suppliers are obliged to provide a test certificate and a material analysis with every delivery in order to maintain consistently excellent quality.
The Sensogan bit material is a further development of the Aurigan material mix. The special alloy consists of a balanced mixture of copper, manganese and zinc. This special mix stimulates the horse's chewing activity and is very well tolerated by the very sensitive horse's mouth. Sensogan was developed in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences in Hanover and the German Riding School in Warendorf and has been toxicologically tested.
The manganese contained in Sensogan is an important trace element, which is not only important for building connective tissue, but also for muscle and energy metabolism. It can also have a positive effect on reducing stress and breaks down histamine, which makes the material even more tolerable. In addition, the new alloy makes the bit even easier to care for, it tarnishes less than Aurigan and the white-golden shine lasts longer.
In addition to Sensogan and the slowly discarded material Aurigan offers Sprenger Bits made of other materials that also meet the extremely high quality standards of the company.
When choosing the right bit, not only the type and shape of the bit is important, but also the right strength and width of the bit. If this is not correct, your horse will not walk properly with any bit, because something always presses or pinches somewhere and that is very uncomfortable in the horse's mouth. So if you notice problems with the current bit, first check whether this bit is the right size.
