What's so special?
The Hurricane turnout blanket is a unique water-repellent blanket for use on the pasture or in the paddock. The blanket guarantees dry horses even in heavy rain. Therefore, the blanket is perfect for horses that are outside all day. The blanket is very tear- and scratch-resistant and remains 100% waterproof even without a new coating.

Fabrics & materials
For 100% wind and waterproofing, we use the same material as for the raincoat for horses, a PU coating. This coating is the same as that used on the typical yellow fisherman jackets. It is applied to the outside of the blanket and is therefore unique in the blanket market. Thanks to the artificial rabbit fur on the inside, the blanket is very soft on the skin and does not rub. The lining also ensures that the horse's coat is shiny and prevents the feeling of moisture under the blanket. The 50 g fiber filling also protects your horse from the cold. This filling, together with the artificial rabbit fur, forms an insulating layer that traps and stores the horse's body heat. The front of the Hurricane blanket has two classic stainless steel fasteners with a brass look, two cross straps and a removable tail cord with a plastic cover. The classic synthetic leather patches and the golden details make your horse look elegant even on rainy days.

Shape & size
The artificial rabbit fur is designed in such a way that it moves back in place again and again after rolling or lying down. The extra tail flap protects the horse's tail from cold and wet. If you want even more protection, you can buy a separate neck piece to match the Hurricane blanket. This is available in 0 g or 150 g and can be easily attached to the ceiling thanks to 2 Velcro fasteners. The neck piece is a little longer at the withers so you don't have to worry about rain getting in.

care instructions
To clean the turnout blanket, you can machine wash it at 30 degrees or just hose off / wipe the blanket. It is best to let the blanket air dry afterwards. Unlike other waterproof blankets, it doesn't need fluorocarbon treatment because washing doesn't affect its waterproofness.
