Kentucky Bell Boots with Ball Protection Close-up on the Horse's Hoof

Protection for hoof and coronary band

Hoof bells

Bell boots or hoof boots are used to protect the hoof and coronary band in case the horse steps on itself with its hind legs. They can also prevent the horseshoes from being trampled down.

Bell boots are usually used for the front hooves because there is a risk that the hind hooves could step into them when jumping or running with great momentum. Bell boots can also be used at the back to protect against injuries or special fittings.
